All SUNREEF yachts are designed and produced within one facility, have high quality custom finishes, and work closely with clients to make sure all their needs are met.
SUNREEF is owned by Francis Lapp, who started off SUNREEF as a travel agency specializing in yacht rentals on the Indian Ocean. The company grew quickly with clients asking for bigger and more comfortable catamarans. Francis noticed that there was a shortage of these catamarans on the market so he was inspired to get involved in building his own large, custom luxury multihulls. He set up his business in Gdansk, Poland, a city with long traditions in naval construction and who has an experienced workforce. The first highly innovative, large catamaran was launched in 2003. The SUNREEF 74 became the shipyard's mark in the yachting community being shown at all the major yacht shows such as Fort Lauderdale, Monaco, Miami, and Palm Beach. The SUNREEF 74 was marketed as the first oceangoing catamaran with a flybridge with a centralized helm stations which gave the catamaran more living space.
Today more than 60 SUNREEF yachts have been launched, both sailing and power. The company has become the world leader in the design and construction of these large luxury catamarans for sale having target a niche market that most others do not work in. The focus of SUNREEF is to produce innovative and quality catamarans resulting in building at two new models each year. In 2010 the company launched two superyachts exceeding the 100 foot mark which gave the market an alternative to super and mega yachts.
